Lets focus on that for a minute. What are all the reasons that get you out of bed in the morning? Have you ever really thought about it. I know I have from time to time, but I don't as often as I should. Here are just some of the reasons I get my self out of bed in the morning in order.
- The Lord. He gives me another day.
- Russell Jungmann. He is my rock
- My family. They always give me comfort when I need it.
- My dogs. They love me no matter what.
- My friends. They are always there for me when I need them.
- My job. I have to put bread on the table.
Write down in the comments what motivates you to get out of bed in the morning. No matter how small or large the reason is, as long as it matters to you, it matters to me!
Well like I said, today was day 12 for yoga, and I have to admit, it may not have been my favorite one so far. Maybe my mind just wasn't in it today, but I guess I just didn't feel "OOOOOMMMM" like I usually do. I did, however, have a favorite pose today though. Shavasana. This is where you just lay down, and meditate. You probably do this pretty well, since this is what you do every night! hahaha. Just lay on your back, legs spread moderately wide, and arms down at your side, palms up. Here is the video if you are doing it with me.
Like I said in the title, I am incorporating another 30 day challenge. It is the plank challenge. You may have seen it on Pinterest, because that's where I saw it. But I am doing my own version of it. I don't want any rest days. The reason why, is because usually when I take 1 rest day, it turns into 2, then 3, then a week, then 3 weeks, then I just have to start all over again... Well I don't want to do that. So here is the challenge.
The end goal is to do a 3 minute plank! I CAN DO IT!
Today was yet another relaxing day. Not as relaxing a yesterday, since my father in-law came over with my nephew. Russ and his dad put up an attic latter, since we didn't have one, and Aiden just hung out with me. He had hot chocolate, and he played Diablo, and we watched Home. Yeah, I know I'm the best aunt in the world. He thought it was pretty cool too. WIN!
After they left, I went to the store for a few items that I missed on my first go-round. Have any of you done that? Had to go back to the store because you forgot to pick some stuff up? It's so annoying. But nonetheless, I'm done grocery shopping now, for a little while at least.
Food:
Breakfast - Smart Start cereal with mootopia milk since I'm lactose intolerant.
Lunch - Sonic - Burger, tater tots, and a coke. I know, I know... Not good.
Dinner - Cheese, pepperoni, and crackers, with french bread and cream cheese... I know not so great either.
Snack - Strawberry Sin-Sation Juice. It was delicioso! Recipe below...
Strawberry Sin-Sation
1 1/2 cup fresh strawberries
1 tablespoon fresh mint (no stems)
1 teaspoon ginger (supposed to be fresh, but I just used 1/2 teaspoon of powdered ginger)
1 tablespoon sunflower seeds (unsalted) - I didn't have these, so I used pine nuts. It just cut down the tartness a little.
3/4 cup pomegranate juice (I used Pom)
1/2 cup coconut water
1/2 cup ice.
Put the ingredients in the blender in this order, and blend for 25 second. Delicious! If you make this, you will have to tell me what you think about it!
